Botetourt Club/Education Center Charity Partnership Marks 20 Years

Thanksgiving 2008 marks the twentieth anniversary of a special relationship between the Kiwanis Club of Botetourt, the students at Botetourt Technical Education Center, and more than 600 grateful people in Botetourt County. For the past two decades, the students and members of the community service organization have joined together to help make Thanksgiving and Christmas brighter holidays by collecting and buying food to present to needy individuals and families in the County...more

Suburban Frederick Club Raffle Winners Flying High

Kiwanis Club of Old Town

Kim Triplett, a volunteer member of the Kiwanis Club of Old Town, (Winchester, VA) instructs young Marshall McAboy on Kids Voting procedure at the Frederick Douglass Elementary School in Winchester. The Kiwanis Club provided 25 volunteer Kiwanians to assist with Kids Voting at the School during the November 4th election.
Sally Stryker, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Old Town (Winchester, Va) points out the designated area assigned by the Virginia Department of Transportation to the Club for Adopt-A-Highway clean up four time a year. The Club selected the Route 50 East area since it is one of the main entry highways to the city.
Jackie Sowers, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Old Town (Winchester, Va.) checks in the donation by club members of pet food for a Thanksgiving Dinner at the local SPCA. The Kiwanis Club has an annual drive each year to provide additional food for the dogs and cats at the shelter during the Holiday Season.
