The 31st Annual Dale Larson Division
20 Service Leadership Programs Night was held recently
on November 13th 2008 at the Hyatt Fair Lakes in Fairfax
VA. For the first time, this event was hosted by the Kiwanis
Club of Tysons Corner continuing the 30 year history started
by Dale Larson and the Kiwanis Club of McLean.
The dinner, which honors the SLP clubs of Division 20 was well attended by almost 200 members of the Kiwanis-Family. Leadership in all branches were on hand to provide remarks to the attendees. Kiwanis Governor Tom Ganse also made his Official Visit to Division 20 and provided an update on the District's goals to the Kiwanis Club Presidents. CKI Governor Heather Waite spoke to the crowd about CKI's Shaping Up Initiative to promote physical fitness and health awareness. Key Club Governor Christina Horton was unable to attend at the last minute due to illness, but Key Club Division 20B Lt. Governor Mary Ta filled in providing an update on the activities of the Key Club including their work with Heifer International and fundraising for HIV/AIDS Awareness in Africa. members responded with some excellent arguments both
